St. John’s International Airport Authority Announces Line-up for Air Show

In addition to the air shows planned for the Saturday and Sunday, the Airport Authority will host the Snowbirds at a dinner scheduled to take place on Friday, August 21st at the Delta Hotel. The dinner is open to the public and the keynote speaker will be General Rick Hillier, Honorary Grand Marshal for the Air Show. The Airport Authority has designated the Canadian Red Cross as its charity for the event and it will be recognized as such at both air shows and at the dinner.

The Airport Authority is anticipating and planning for a total of 7500 spectators per show. In addition to the featured acts, spectators will have an opportunity to view a static display that will showcase varying types of aircraft and airport equipment. Concessions will be available on-site for refreshments and there will be entertainment for children.
